2025-26 Season Information

Season Length
Practices begin in mid-October and games begin in early November. The season finishes mid-March.

Practice
Teams practice twice per week with each practice between 1.5 and 2 hours. Practices are held at Willowbrook High School or D45 middle schools between 6 and 9 pm.

Games
A team will play between 18-20 games a season as part of DuPage Youth Travel Basketball League (DYTBL), plus playoffs and additional tournaments. The games are at various locations in the Western Suburbs. Home games are played at Willowbrook High School or a D45 middle school.

Teams
We expect to field teams at the 4th-8th grade levels with 10 - 12 boys selected per team.

Tryouts
Tryouts will be held Saturday, September 13th and Sunday, September 21st at Willowbrook High School. Please see below for details and to register. There is no fee to tryout. You are notified by email and/or telephone whether your son made a team within two days of the final tryout date.

Fees and Fundraising
Registration fees are $500 with a mandatory $100 fundraising requirement per player for the upcoming season. Financial assistance for reduced or full registration fees is available for those who qualify. Please see our Financial Aid page for additional information and to apply.

2025-26 Willowbrook Jr Warriors - Boys

The Willowbrook Jr Warriors is a competitive travel basketball program for boys in grades 4 through 8 and proudly serves as the official feeder program to Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, Illinois. Our organization welcomes players from the surrounding communities of Villa Park, Lombard, Oakbrook Terrace, and Elmhurst, and competes in the highly regarded DuPage Youth Travel Basketball League (DYTBL).

Our mission is to develop not only strong basketball players, but outstanding young men. We emphasize character, accountability, sportsmanship, and hard work—values that reflect the tradition and pride of Willowbrook High School basketball. Through a commitment to doing things the right way, our program prepares players for long-term success both on and off the court.

As a high school feeder program, we strive to provide as many opportunities as possible for athletes residing within the District 88 boundaries (see map). To support this mission, each team is required to have at least 70% of its roster made up of players who live within the district.

Team selection is determined through a formal tryout and evaluation process, led by our coaching staff and board. Tryouts for the 2025–26 season will be held at Willowbrook High School on Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 21. Players are encouraged to attend both sessions, but only one is required for consideration.

The season runs from mid-October through mid-March, with each team playing approximately 18–20 regular-season games, league playoffs, and additional tournament games. Registration is $500 per player, along with a $100 fundraising commitment.
