Girls Travel Basketball
Willowbrook Jr Warriors Girls Travel Basketball is a competitive winter program for players who want to improve, compete, and commit through the season. We focus on player development, team basketball, and building the kind of habits that help players grow on and off the court.
Season Overview
Season Length
Practices begin in mid-October and games begin in early November. The season finishes in mid-March.
Teams
We expect to field teams at the 4th–8th grade levels with 10–12 girls selected per team.
What to Expect
Practice
Teams practice twice per week, with each practice running between 1.5 and 2 hours.
Practices are held at Willowbrook High School or D45 middle schools, typically between 6:00 and 9:00 PM.
Games
Teams typically play 18–20 games in the DuPage Youth Travel Basketball League (DYTBL), plus playoffs and additional tournaments.
Games are played at locations throughout the western suburbs. Home games are played at Willowbrook High School or a D45 middle school.
Skills Development
We also partner with professional skills development coaches to supplement our weekly team practices. This is a major value add for our players and is included as part of the registration fee.
Players are not just getting team practices and games. They are also getting added instruction and development from experienced basketball trainers throughout the season.
